From the beginning of August to the beginning of October each year, our local fishermen are out 6 days a week, on the Northumberland Strait, bringing home the best treat from the ocean… MARITIME LOBSTER! Yum!

Murray Beach’s unsupervised, warm saltwater and sandy beach is the perfect place to go beachcombing, escape the daily routine and re-energize the soul with the sounds of the sea. Pets are not allowed on the beach, but they are allowed on leash in the rest of the park. Change houses, washrooms, playground and picnic areas are available on site.

For that reason, in 1989 the Shediac Rotary Club thought it fitting to erect a monument in tribute of the delectable crustacean and promote its role in the development of our community. Tidal Bore on the Petitcodiac River

The Tidal Bore in New Brunswick Canada, occurs along the Peticodiac River near Moncton & Riverview and is a naturally occurring phenomenon that is caused by the surging waters from the Bay of Fundy tides, which are the highest tides in the world, that roar up the Peticodiac River twice daily during the changing tides. The Confederation Bridge

Located on the Northumberland Strait of New Brunswick, just minutes north of the town of Bouctouche, this sand dune stretches 12 km across Bouctouche Bay, a result of the constant action of wind, tides and sea currents since the last ice age. Every major storm, its shape changes.

Park visitors can use the boardwalk stretching along the dune to explore both the dune’s wilderness and its salt marsh without endangering the sensitive ecosystems. A rich variety of marine and aquatic plants and animals, especially shorebirds and other migratory birds, make the dune their habitat. A bird photographers dream!
